Events in Toronto
Winterlicious (January and February)
Winterlicious is the city's foremost culinary event, featuring a wide variety of food-based experiences including cooking classes, dinner theatre, pairings, tastings, dinners with chefs and live demonstrations. Over 200 restaurants are involved in the event and offer delicious three-course fixed-price lunch and dinner menus between January and February.
Canada Day (July)
Each year on the first day of July, cities across Canada celebrate the country's birthday at Mel Lastman Square with a free-entry evening featuring live music, family activities, dance performances and fireworks choreographed with music.
Fete de la Musique (June)
Fete de la Musique, or World Music Day, was established in 1981 and takes place annually in June. Canada is one of 120 countries around the world that takes part, with Toronto hosting an evening of varied musical talent including rap, electronic and folk music for an eclectic musical experience.
Christmas Market (November and December)
Every year between the middle of November and a few days before Christmas, the city celebrates the magic of Christmas with a traditional Christmas market. The Christmas Market aims to capture the charm of a European Christmas Market with costumed extras, games, live music and hundreds of hand-crafted local products. All the family will have fun at the market and feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Christmas market, which originated in Germany in the 1400s and is now popular in countries all around the world.
