Travix Accessibility Statement (EAA and WCAG Compliance)
Our Commitment
At Travix, we believe travel should be accessible to everyone. We are committed to creating an inclusive digital experience that enables all users — including those with disabilities — to search, compare, book, and manage their travel independently and with ease.
This Accessibility Statement outlines the current accessibility status of our services and the measures we are implementing to meet the standards set by the European Accessibility Act (EAA), EN 301 549, WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and applicable Dutch legislation.
Scope of This Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to Travix-operated websites and services, specifically:
Core Booking Pages
- Home page
- Flight search results page
- Checkout flow
- Post-sale booking overview page
- Booking management detail pages
These pages are substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549 standards through native development, without reliance on third-party overlays.
Supporting Pages
- Blog pages
- Campaign and promotional pages
- Destination and route pages
- About Us and informational pages
These pages are partially conformant. A UserWay accessibility widget is available as an optional enhancement tool until full native remediation is completed. Overlay tools are provided as a convenience feature and do not substitute native accessibility compliance.
Third-Party Services
Travix embeds third-party elements (e.g., external payment gateways, supplier iframes) which are outside Travix’s direct control. Their accessibility depends on the efforts of their respective providers.
Accessibility Features in Place
We have implemented the following features across our core services:
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Fully operable with leading screen readers.
- Keyboard Navigation: Essential functions accessible via keyboard alone.
- Consistent Structure: Logical page layouts using headings, landmarks, and structured menus.
- Visual Support: Adjustable contrast, zoom, and text scaling available.
- Error Feedback: Clear, descriptive error messaging for user inputs.
- Plain Language: Content and interfaces designed for cognitive accessibility.
- Accessible Brand Standards: Typography and colour contrast tested against WCAG 2.1 Level AA thresholds.
Users can optionally access additional assistive features through the UserWay widget where available.
Current Conformance Status
Travix services are currently:
- Substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301 549 for core booking flows.
- Partially conformant for non-core informational content, with phased improvements ongoing.
- Supported by automated scans, expert third-party audits, and user testing involving people with disabilities.
This statement serves as a partial Declaration of Conformity with EN 301 549 (V3.2.1, 2021-03).
