A self-transfer itinerary includes several flights combined by BudgetAir.lv into one itinerary. These flights are operated by different airlines that do not have a shared ticketing agreement. Therefore, after booking, this itinerary will be separated into several bookings, and the tickets will be issued individually via separate E-tickets to your inbox. Self-transfer itineraries may require you to complete entry/exit procedures, collect your baggage, and check in again when transferring. So, having the necessary travel documents for the countries and regions during your transfers is essential. Take care to obtain the necessary visas for each flight check-in.

With this guarantee, BudgetAir.lv will provide tailored support for issues with your flight transfer due to flight changes, cancellations, or delays.

• Replacement Flights ✈️
  If missed flights are due to flight changes, cancellations or delays, BudgetAir.lv will rebook the affected flight segments for free following the airline’s policies.

Should alternative transportation (buses, trains, etc.) be needed, BudgetAir.lv will cover the costs.

  If tickets haven't been used, a full refund for all affected segments will be issued (some airlines may offer refunds in the form of airline vouchers).

What You Need to Do

After contacting BudgetAir.lv regarding the problematic flight change, cancellation, or delay, we will provide you with an alternative travel plan. If you are happy with it, we will gladly cover the cost of meals, alternative transportation, and even accommodations to help make it happen. Here’s how to initiate access to these benefits:

1. If a flight change, cancellation, or delay interrupts your travel itinerary, inform BudgetAir Latvia of the situation by phone, online chat or email.

2. Once we’re informed, we’ll start working on an alternative travel plan. Please respond to our proposal within 24 hours, either accepting our provided plan or proposing your own alternative plan.

3. In some circumstances, you can purchase alternative flights through third-party channels. Please see the conditions for this below. You must provide proof of payment within 14 days of the arrival date at your destination according to the original flight schedule.

  With your new itinerary, if your connection time is over 4 hours, we'll help with the cost of meals and refreshments.
